Karina Biancone, Apprentice
Karina joined Dissonance in 2017. Originally from Santa Barbara, California, Karina began training at State Street Ballet’s official school, Gustafson Dance. Karina spent five years with the pre-professional company, State Street Ballet Young Dancers, participating in Regional Dance America each year. She had the honor of performing in State Street Ballet’s productions as well, including the Nutcracker, Cinderella, and Snow White She then broadened her training by studying with Ellen Schipper at West Coast Ballet, participating in Old Spanish Days and the French Festival. In 2013 Karina received second place in the Santa Barbara Ballet Competition. She now holds a BFA in Ballet along with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Utah. While in Utah she performed in Utah Ballet’s productions, such as Rene Devaluy’sCoppeliaand Lesley Telford’s One 29. Karina would like to thank her family for all their support.
