McKenna May, Apprentice
McKenna May is from Wrentham, MA and graduated in 2017 from Elon University with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography and a BA in Strategic Communications. She also dances professionally with Gaspard&Dancers, most recently performing at the Schimmel Center for the Arts in New York, NY and Reynolds Theater in Durham, NC. McKenna has worked with Terranova Dance Theatre and the Kearns Dance Project, appearing in lead roles both on stage and in various dance films. She has had the opportunity to perform works by Gerri Houlihan, Gaspard Louis, Diane Coburn Bruning, Maria Caruso, Mike Gosney, Jen Guy Metcalf, Lauren Kearns and Sara Tourek, and attend several summer intensives, including Bodiography Contemporary Ballet, Elements Contemporary Ballet, Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts and Boston Ballet. She spent five months abroad training in Florence, Italy at the Florence Dance Center under the direction of Marga Nativo and Keith Ferrone in 2016.
